Friends of Skipton Castle
The 'Friends' has been formed in response to requests for an annual ticket allowing members to visit Skipton Castle as often as they wish.
Some people like to visit the Castle throughout the year to enjoy the changing seasons - the spring bulbs and blossom, the great copper beach in all its summer glory or the Castle's winter majesty.
One can relax on the Chapel Terrace, a peaceful spot with seats giving views over Skipton and the woods or take refreshment in the Clifford Tearooms.
Membership enables Friends to accompany their paying friends without having to pay further themselves.
A 10% discount on purchases from the gift shop and tearooms may be claimed on presenting the Friends card.
Membership of the Friends is by application at the Shell Room in the Gatehouse,by post or online. A Friends card will be issued which has to be shown at the Shell Room when visiting, at the same time signing the Friends Book.
The annual subscription is £38.00 for one adult. This also allows up to three family members under 18 years to accompany the "Friend". Children must be accompanied at all times.
