Your VisitPlease book online for a guaranteed time slot.This also helps manage numbers, limit queuing and reduce contact for a more enjoyable and relaxed experience. Skipton Castle has received the new Visit Britain Kitemark "Good to Go" in recognition of our continuing work to make Skipton Castle as safe as we can for all our visitors and staff. We will continue to follow UK industry and government updates based on the latest advice. Bookings for self guiding tours are available via our website. If you are a Friend of Skipton Castle or hold a Yorkshire’s Great Houses, Castles & Gardens Card please email admin@skiptoncastle.co.uk or call the office on 01756 792442 to book your visit during office hours Monday-Friday 10am-2pm. We will need your contact details: Name, Tel, Email and the number in your group to make your booking. You will receive a confirmation email which you will need to bring along with your Membership Card . Please note your friends membership has been extended by 4 months.
ABOUT YOUR VISITWe aim to make your visit as safe and enjoyable as possible. BOOK ONLINE IN ADVANCE. On arrival you will be asked for your name and booking reference. KEEP HANDS CLEAN. Installation of hand sanitising stations are on-site for visitors and staff. SELF GUIDING ONE-WAY ROUTE. There will be a self-guiding one-way route for up to an hour and a half around the ancient castle. Helpful signage will allow for social distancing. There is no time limit in the grounds. FACE COVERING. Please wear face covering in all indoor areas of the Castle. TOILETS OPEN. Only one person at a time will be allowed in the toilets. Please use sanitisers available. PAYMENTS. No cash will be accepted - contactless payments only. SHOP CLOSED Please follow signage to assist social distancing CLIFFORD TEA ROOMS CLOSED Please follow signage to assist social distancing. PARKING. The Bailey Carpark will be temporarily closed until further notice. Book online with your Castle booking or pay at the Kiosk with a card or contactless. (cards only) DOGS are allowed on a lead within the Castle. The only exceptions are the Tearoom & Shop. Please make sure you clean up if there are any accidents and please make sure they do no pee on the grass. Dogs are also allowed within our woods but please keep them on a lead
COVID-19 StatementSkipton Castle is committed to prioritising the safety of staff and visitors at all times. The company will work together to take all appropriate measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 for staff and visitors to the Castle. To do this a risk assessment has been completed which identifies possible risks, and the measures we can put into place to reduce the risk. We have implemented a number of procedures to reduce the risk of infection, and to demonstrate to our visitors that we offer a safe visitor experience
