|Creative Arts Courses & Workshops For Adults 2012-2013|
Welcome to Granary Arts
The Tuesday evening Life and General Painting courses continue to be very popular, however new members are always welcome, whether they are beginners or have a little more experience.
New workshops include a three day course on History and Television with Catherine Owens, Creative Photography with Brett Meikle and Animal Portraiture with Margaret Swift.
I am delighted that Ruth Issett has fitted in a another two day workshop entitled 'Colour Explorations in September 2013. Her courses are always stimulating and inspiring and fill quickly so book early to be sure of a place.
In response to requests for more time to complete work on day courses, I have introduced a number of two day workshops which will enable students to work closely with the tutor over a longer period. These workshops include Portraiture, Drypoint, Collage, and Mixed Media.
The annual Exhibition of Work by students will be held in the Granary on Saturday 15 September from 10.00 am - 5.00 pm and on Sunday 16 September 2012 from 12 noon - 4.00 pm when normal admission prices for the castle apply. Please contact me if you would like to attend the preview on the evening of Friday 14 September from 7.00 - 9.30 pm.
A list of local hotels can be provided for those who want to combine a workshop day with a longer visit to the area, and a chance to explore this historical market town set on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
I hope you find something of interest in the programme and I look forward to welcoming you to the castle during the coming months.
